Some days I don't leave the house
I notice the moon shining down
Moving lightly in the sky
Watching me always with its eyes
I remember to breathe, forget to see
Envision white doors motionlessly
In the space near the center of my skull
A flickering light pale and dull
Practice the way of vagal nerves
Giving the boredom what it deserves
Linking footsteps from the stairs
That send me closer to nowhere
