An all consuming shadow and flame
An inscription placed on swollen womb
Through and through I am ordained
I would relieve your golden moon
kneeling in aw of immeasurable pain
Feeling for someone here with whom
Bent beneath its terrible weight
I might share this undoubted doom
Never neath the startled skies
Dare I speak, it anxiously cries
Lest I seek to sanctify
Before a light first caught my eye
And if time bury a luminary illusion
Of what worth is living at all
Please you let an inevitable intrusion
When thirst and hunger to me call
This is what it means to be human
Pillars of salt surrounding Gomorrah
A memory instilled with vigorous fusion
Where still your specter doth enthrall
It's a full moon in the skies galore
For hope is a pleasure I'm loathe to outlast
In their flares I have seen what it bore
The seed of my heart so long since cast
Experience cemented in a metaphor
The visions of wilder storms surpassed
A place to remain, and nothing more
There came a mysterious void in the vast
