Lead me to the riverbed,
Where I may be washed clean again
Where I may pass the angel's sword
My light, my guid, my love, my Lord
Lead me to the riverbed,
Where once I beheld a golden head
Where You swore, a candle bright,
My love, my Lord, my guide, my light
Lead me to the alters' grace,
Beyond the beauty of a woman's face
Lead me, a beggar, blind and bound
By my will or Yours, allow me to drown
Who will draw me like water from a well?
Who is given to secrets with none to tell?
And who will wash me, a gentle hand
My Lord, my guide, at Thy command?
And all who died shall live again,
They know not where, they know not when
And from this truth I shall not hide,
My Lord, my father, my shepherd, my guide.
