Fader
08/27/14

On sunken wings, we sail endless and forever
The scarlet leaves fall from the trees and cast no shadow
In halos, the rangers are back to devour
All that we held without the likeness of power

And there’s a face beneath this mid-summer’s moon
Shining down upon us, with the goddess in the pool
Glowing with the angels, swimming naked in the pool
haunted every hour by the hallowed ghoul

You've gone too far, through the deepest stars
We drive in our cars, and you disappear
Glowing with the dead floating in the pool
But I’m not just anyone’s fool
On carousels we leave the fear of death
Neither does man nor ghost in this world rest
But the angels shine down on me
Down on me from above
