Shared Affection
4/24/2013

It’s a precarious thing
When life is born
Within this bleeding
Wretched form
Secrets hidden
From minds of clay
To place their wrists
Farther away
From the tainted kiss
Of all I may.

Drawn like portraits
Black waters swell
With shared affection
Only time will tell
Light my every star
Hung from the skies
Meet me tonight
In stain glass eyes

To watch us move
In fear, just to follow
Leaving tracks in desecration
Deep in the earth hallow
For all that moves
In fallow motes, still
Remains there freely
In mine, a perverse will
The constant of time
Will vanquish your body
And then, your mind
In time.

A familiar distracter
Replaces the deity
But there is no denying
You could have, enthrallingly,
Curved the constant flames
Of the suns violet rays
Forsaken misfortunes
Let stars shine on our days
When they cast no light
And the road home is a maze
Put images in our sight
Return my desperate gaze

And home is a place
Within yourself
And love is a vase
You left on the shelf
And now I share hate
With no one else
